The second week, CHOSEN, shows how God rescues Abraham’s descendants, His chosen people, from slavery in Egypt and leads them to a little piece of land in the Middle East that He had promised to give to Abraham’s descendants. This land is known as the Promised Land.
Once the people of Israel settle down in the promise land, the third week NATION, continues telling Israel’s history as a nation. The people of Israel want a king like every other nation, and God gives them one-King Saul. God promises David, the nation’s second king, that the Savior of the world would be a descendent of David.
The four week, SAVIOR, is all about David’s descendents-our Savior Jesus.
The fifth week, KINGDOM, walks through the growth if God’s Kingdom on earth as Jesus’ disciples carry His message of salvation to the world.
